Acts 16:6

This website has been moved to:

Acts 16:6: Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia.

Acts 19:8-10: And he went into the synagogue and spoke boldly for three months, reasoning and persuading concerning the things of the kingdom of God. But when some were hardened and did not believe, but spoke evil of the Way before the multitude, he departed from them and withdrew the disciples, reasoning daily in the school of Tyrannus. And this continued for two years, so that all who dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.

Acts 16 says that God forbid Paul from preaching in Asia, but Acts 19 says that Paul preached in Asia regardless.

The verse from Acts 16 doesn't specify a period of time in which they were forbidden from preaching in Asia.

We don't know if it was forbidden for all time or just for that situation, and it could have just as easily been the latter.
