Genesis 12:7: Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants I will give this land.” And there he built an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him.

Amos 7:7-8: Thus He showed me: Behold, the Lord stood on a wall made with a plumb line, with a plumb line in His hand. And the Lord said to me, “Amos, what do you see?” And I said, “A plumb line.” Then the Lord said: “Behold, I am setting a plumb line in the midst of My people Israel; I will not pass by them anymore.
Amos 9:1: I saw the Lord standing by the altar, and He said: “Strike the doorposts, that the thresholds may shake, And break them on the heads of them all. I will slay the last of them with the sword. He who flees from them shall not get away, And he who escapes from them shall not be delivered.

Exodus 33:20: But He said, “You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live.”
John 1:18: No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.
1 John 4:12: No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.

Genesis, Exodus, Numbers, Job, and Amos say that God has been seen, but Exodus, John, and First John say that God has never be seen.
