Jeremiah 12:13

This website has been moved to:

Jeremiah 12:13: They have sown wheat but reaped thorns; they have put themselves to pain but do not profit. But be ashamed of your harvest because of the fierce anger of the Lord.”

2 Corinthians 9:6: But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
Galatians 6:7: Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

Jeremiah says that some sow wheat but reap thorns, but Second Corinthians and Galatians says that man will reap whatever he sows.

This 'sowing' and 'reaping' referred to here is clearly metaphorical. There is no contradiction in their actual meanings.
