Matthew 7:7-8: “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
Luke 11:9-10: “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

Luke 13:24: “Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.

Matthew and Luke say that you will find what you seek, but Luke says that many will seek heaven but fail.

The statements from Matthew and Luke are proverbial and were not intended to be taken this literally. (Jesus was not teaching, for instance, that you can ask for the moon and receive it.)
