Proverbs 3:13: Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains understanding;
Proverbs 4:7: Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.
Proverbs 19:8: He who gets wisdom loves his own soul; he who keeps understanding will find good.
James 1:5: If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
Luke 2:40: And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him.
Luke 2:52: And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.

1 Corinthians 1:19-25: For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.” Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? […] Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
1 Corinthians 3:18-20: Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, “He catches the wise in their own craftiness”; and again, “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.”

Proverbs and James say that wisdom is important to obtain, but First Corinthians says that the wisdom of man is futile foolishness.
