Quran 2:195: And spend in the way of Allah and do not throw yourselves with your own hands into destruction by refraining. And do good; indeed, Allah loves the doers of good.
Quran 8:41: And know that anything you obtain of war booty - then indeed, for Allah is one fifth of it and for the Messenger and for his near relatives and the orphans, the needy, and the stranded traveler, if you have believed in Allah and in that which We sent down to Our Servant on the day of criterion - the day when the two armies met. And Allah, over all things, is competent.
Quran 9:103: Take, O, Muhammad, from their wealth a charity by which you purify them and cause them increase, and invoke Allah's blessings upon them. Indeed, your invocations are reassurance for them. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.
Quran 9:111: Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties in exchange for that they will have Paradise. They fight in the cause of Allah, so they kill and are killed. It is a true promise binding upon Him in the Torah and the Gospel and the Qur'an. And who is truer to his covenant than Allah? So rejoice in your transaction which you have contracted. And it is that which is the great attainment.
Quran 47:38: Here you are - those invited to spend in the cause of Allah - but among you are those who withhold out of greed. And whoever withholds only withholds benefit from himself; and Allah is the Free of need, while you are the needy. And if you turn away, He will replace you with another people; then they will not be the likes of you.
Quran 57:10: And why do you not spend in the cause of Allah while to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth? Not equal among you are those who spent before the conquest of Makkah and fought and those who did so after it. Those are greater in degree than they who spent afterwards and fought. But to all Allah has promised the best reward. And Allah, with what you do, is Acquainted.

Quran 12:104: And you do not ask of them for it any payment. It is not except a reminder to the worlds.
Quran 36:21: Follow those who do not ask of you any payment, and they are rightly guided.
Quran 42:23: It is that of which Allah gives good tidings to His servants who believe and do righteous deeds. Say, O Muhammad, "I do not ask you for this message any payment but only good will through kinship." And whoever commits a good deed - We will increase for him good therein. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Appreciative.
Quran 52:40: Or do you, O Muhammad, ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down?
Quran 68:46: Or do you ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down?

Chapters 2, 8, 9, and 47 say that Muhammad asks for fees, but chapters 12, 36, 42, 52, and 68 say that Muhammad doesn't ask for fees.
