The Cyrenian tax registers, written from ?-? AD, contain mention of Jesus Christ in a village of Judea(as reported here by Justin Martyr, Greek philosopher from 103-165 AD, writing in The First Apology>35): Now there is a village in the land of the Jews, thirty-five stadia from Jerusalem, in which Jesus Christ was born, as you can ascertain also from the registers of the taxing made under Cyrenius, your first procurator in Judea.
